Head of Software Development MS Business Central (m/f/d)

For our Business Applications Team at the Recklinghausen site, we are looking for an experienced leader as Head of Software Development (m/f/d) Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. 

Recklinghausen, Braunschweig

Hybrid, full-time

YOUR TASKS:

  • Technical and professional leadership of our development team for Business Central solutions
  • Definition and further development of software architectures, development standards and best practices
  • Concept and (further) development of individual Business Central customer solutions
  • Recording, analysis and technical implementation of complex customer requirements
  • Regularly carry out code reviews to ensure high quality standards
  • Coaching, Mentoring and targeted further development for junior developers
  • Actively shaping our technological roadmap in the area of Business Central / Navision
  • Close collaboration with project management and customers – even on challenging ERP migration projects

Your Profile

  • Completed degree in Business Informatics or training as an IT specialist (male/female/diverse) or comparable qualification
  • Relevant professional experience in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central environment
  • Several years of leadership experience as a Lead Developer, Software Architect, or Team Lead – or a clear aspiration for leadership with corresponding development prospects
  • In-depth expertise in the development and architecture of Business Central / Navision solutions
  • Very good knowledge of AL or C/AL and the database environment
  • In-depth understanding of ERP business processes (logistics, purchasing, production, project business) and ideally experience in ERP migration projects
  • Strong analytical skills and an independent, structured way of working
  • Enjoyment of customer communication and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Willingness to travel and driving licence category B
  • Fluent German and good English skills

For our Business Applications Team, we are looking for experienced ERP Consultants (m/f/d) with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central at our Braunschweig, Recklinghausen, or Leipzig locations – hybrid working is also welcome.

YOUR TASKS:

  • Active support for our customers in the introduction, adaptation, and further development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Analysis of existing ERP systems, as well as identification of optimisation and digitalisation potential
  • Recording, documentation, and structuring of technical requirements, including ensuring transparent communication.
  • Creation of technical specifications and close coordination with development teams for successful implementation
  • Technical and professional quality assurance of implemented solutions
  • Advising our clients on optimising their business processes with practical, sustainable solution proposals
  • Conducting workshops and user training for key users to ensure successful knowledge transfer

Your Profile

  • Completed degree in (Business) Computer Science or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ERP consulting, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Navision
  • Sound technical expertise in Business Central, as well as a good understanding of business processes.
  • Experience in the implementation, support and customisation of ERP solutions
  • Experience in project and/or requirements management, as well as a structured, solution-oriented way of working
  • High customer focus, strong communication skills, and personal responsibility.
  • Nationwide travel readiness
  • Very good German and good English skills
